Who this itinerary suits

Single-base trips reward anyone travelling with young children, elderly parents or a lot of luggage, because the bags come off the vehicle once. It also suits first-time visitors who want the whole valley rather than one resort town. This is the Standard grade in the Duke Kashmir Travels line-up — the same route is also sold as Superior and Deluxe, which place you in higher-category hotels for more.

How is the price worked out?

The figure quoted is a per-room total, not a per-head one. Two adults in one room is the default basis; a third adult moves you onto the triple-occupancy rate, and a fourth cannot be placed in the same room at all. Children are charged separately depending on whether they need a bed. Duke Kashmir Travels recalculates every figure from live hotel and vehicle rates, so quotes move when the underlying rates do.

What should I plan around in winter?

Between January and February the road towards Sonmarg is the one that shuts after heavy snowfall, and the Gondola at Gulmarg stops running in high wind. Neither affects the Srinagar base or the Pahalgam and Yusmarg legs. Confirm the current position for your dates before you pay, since conditions change week to week.

About Duke Kashmir Travels

The company operates from Nowhatta Chowk in Srinagar and sells this trip directly rather than through a marketplace, which is why an enquiry reaches a consultant instead of a checkout page. Quotes are rebuilt from live hotel and vehicle rates each time, so the figure you are given is the one being held for your dates.

Queries About Plan An Amazing Tour With Us

Five nights and six days. All five nights are in Srinagar, with day excursions out to Gulmarg, Pahalgam, Sonmarg and Yusmarg.
For the October 2026 to March 2027 window, Duke Kashmir Travels lists it at ₹29,726 for two adults sharing one room — ₹14,863 each — reduced from ₹32,699. The price covers five nights' accommodation with breakfast and dinner daily, a private non-AC vehicle for every transfer and excursion, an hour on the Dal by shikara, and a guided stop at Jamia Masjid and Hari Parbat. Tolls, parking and the driver's allowance are absorbed too, so there is nothing further to settle with the driver.
No. The cable car up to Kongdoori and Apharwat, and pony hire at any of the meadows, are both paid on the spot. Duke Kashmir Travels leaves them out deliberately: rates are fixed by the authorities, and whether either runs depends on the day's snow and wind. Buy Gondola tickets at the Gulmarg counter and negotiate ponies at the stand. Insurance, guide fees and anything personal also sit outside the quoted figure.
Every night is spent in Srinagar, so luggage comes off the vehicle once. The first is aboard a houseboat moored on the Dal, and the remaining four are in a city hotel, both with breakfast and dinner provided. Gulmarg, Pahalgam, Sonmarg and Yusmarg are reached and left the same day. That single-base structure is what separates this Duke Kashmir Travels itinerary from full-valley tours that shift hotels nightly.
Pahalgam is the longest leg at roughly 95 km each way, then Sonmarg at about 85 km, both around two and a half to three hours in each direction. Gulmarg sits closer at 50 km. Arrival day covers about 80 km because the Mughal Gardens circuit is folded into the transfer from the airport, and departure day is a short 30 km. Yusmarg is a comparable run west of the city. Every leg ends back at the same base.
This departure is priced for the quieter months and runs from October 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027. October and November bring the chinar colour; from late December there is snow at Gulmarg and Sonmarg, and rates stay well below the April to June peak. Worth planning around: the Sonmarg road can close after heavy snowfall in January and February, so check the position for your dates with a Duke Kashmir Travels consultant before paying.
Booking here starts with an enquiry rather than instant checkout — use the Enquire Now button or the WhatsApp link on this page and a consultant confirms availability, with a reply inside 24 hours. A 30 percent deposit of ₹8,917.80 then secures the dates, and the remainder follows the stated payment terms. Duke Kashmir Travels operates from Nowhatta Chowk in Srinagar, is registered with the J and K Department of Tourism as JKTA00003978, and is an IATO member.
