Pulwama town has a total population of 18,440. The whole economy of the town depends on agriculture.
The climate remains sunny and moderate during summers and in winters it receives huge snowfall. The autumn season witnesses the fall of leaves and change in the climate. It is the best time to harvest the crop.
The main town of Pulwama always has a huge rush of people. There are various shops, malls, transport yards around the main market. There are also some villages around the main town. Most of the people speak in the Kashmiri language.
