Queries About Plan An Amazing Tour With Us

Gulmarg is 50 km from Srinagar and the drive takes about an hour and a half through Tangmarg. It is comfortably a day trip, and most itineraries do it that way; skiers usually stay a night or two instead so they get two full days on the slopes.
The Gondola is run by the Jammu & Kashmir Cable Car Corporation and ticketed in two phases, each priced separately, with a chair lift from Kongdoori charged on its own. Book online in advance on the corporation site: counter tickets sell out on peak days in winter and in the May-June holidays. Tickets are not included in our package prices.
From late December to March there is snow on the meadow itself. Above Kongdoori it lasts far longer, and Apharwat at 3,980 m usually holds snow into June, so a summer visitor can still reach it by Gondola.
Yes. The gentler slopes around Kongdoori suit first-timers, ski schools operate through the season and equipment hire is available in the resort. The steep off-piste descents from Apharwat are for experienced skiers with a guide.
Yes, and many prefer it. From May the snow gives way to a wide meadow of wildflowers, the golf course opens, and the Gondola runs for the view rather than the ski runs. Temperatures stay cool while Srinagar is warm.
No permit is needed for Gulmarg itself. Bring a photo ID for hotel check-in, and note that the road beyond Gulmarg towards Khilanmarg and Apharwat is walked, ridden or taken by Gondola rather than driven.
Yes. The meadow is flat and easy to walk, the Gondola is the main attraction for all ages, and sledge and pony rides are available in the snow months. Dress children for cold at the top: Apharwat is well below freezing even when the meadow is mild.
Snow boots, waterproof outer layers, gloves and sunglasses in winter — hire shops in the resort rent boots and jackets by the day. In summer bring a fleece and a windproof layer for the Gondola, since the top station is cold whatever the date.
