Royal Springs Golf Course runs along the eastern shore of Dal Lake below Pari Mahal: 18 holes, par 72, 6,985 yards, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. It is regularly rated among the best courses in India, and the setting is why: water on one side, the Zabarwan slope on the other, and Pari Mahal on the ridge above. The J&K tourism department runs tournaments here each year.
Duke Kashmir Travels books tee times here for guests staying on the lake. The agency has been registered with the Department of Tourism as JKTA00003978 since 2011, and Kashmir packages start near ₹6,350 per person, two sharing.

- Designed by the American architect Robert Trent Jones Jr.

What is the course like?
Long and undulating: 6,985 yards at par 72, cut into the Zabarwan foothills with Dal Lake along one boundary.
Elevation changes and mature trees give it more character than the flatter city course, and several holes play towards the water. It is well kept through the season, and the clubhouse looks out over the lake.
Can visitors play here?
Yes, with green fees and tee times arranged in advance. Clubs and caddies can be hired.
We handle the booking for guests, and the course sits so close to the Boulevard hotels that a round fits into a half-day. Tournament weeks are the exception, when access is restricted.
What is nearby?
Chashme Shahi is at the gate, Pari Mahal on the ridge above and the Botanical Garden next door.
A golf morning and a gardens afternoon work well from the same road. The Srinagar page lists the rest and Kashmir tour ideas shows how to fit both into a week.
