Anchar Lake
Anchar Lake is situated in the Soura area of Srinagar. Once it was a popular tourist destination but now it is in a deteriorated condition. Anchar Lake is connected to the famous Dal Lake via Amir Khan Nallah.
Anchar Lake has lost its vigorous beauty due to the large-scale encroachment, pollution due to the local vicinity, and illegal constructions.
The lake has although a beautiful surrounding of mountains and hilltops. You can visit here for a short period of time. Locals do the practice of fishing here in monsoon season.
