What is the course like?
Eighteen holes at par 72 laid across open meadow at altitude, ringed by pine forest with the Apharwat ridge behind.
Thin air carries the ball further than players expect, which is part of the appeal. The ground is naturally undulating rather than heavily engineered, and the setting does most of the work.
When can you play?
Roughly May to October. Snow closes the course for about five months either side of winter.
Late spring brings the wildflowers, and September gives the steadiest weather. Booking ahead matters in the summer peak, when Gulmarg fills with visitors from the plains.
How do you arrange a round?
Green fees and equipment hire are handled at the club; we book tee times for guests as part of a Gulmarg itinerary.
Gulmarg is a two-hour drive from Srinagar, so a round usually means staying the night rather than making a day trip. The other Kashmir courses are Kashmir Golf Club and Royal Springs in Srinagar.
