The Gulmarg Golf Course has 18 holes and 72 pars. Golf tournaments are being played here as well. The first golf championship was played in 1922. Later the course was redesigned by Peter Thomson in 1970. The golf course also got renovated and redesigned by Ranjit Nanda, a well-known golf architect from Delhi.
The meadows of the golf course got covered by snow during winters. Hence, the best time to visit here is from April-October.
The meadow of flowers provides the best alluring view of the snow peaks and the wildflowers add another beauty to this place. The climate remains moderate during summers and the sunny day adds glory to the game.
